Cadastra acquires Maeztra and strengthens its presence in e-commerce
How Maeztra’s acquisition strengthened Cadastra’s leadership in e-commerce across Latin America. Read about the integration, success stories, and the company’s acquisition history.
The integration between Cadastra and Maeztra is now officially complete, marking a strategic step in expanding our presence in the Latin American e-commerce market. With this unification, we have expanded our Center of Excellence in Commerce (COE), now with over 200 specialists dedicated to driving results and growth for our clients.
A strategic union with market impact
Since acquiring Maeztra in April 2024, our focus has been on integrating capabilities to offer even more comprehensive solutions. Maeztra, recognized for its expertise in VTEX projects — with more than 500 successful deliveries and four VTEX awards in its portfolio — brought experience and innovation by serving brands like Carrefour, McDonald’s, Unilever, and New Balance.
Today, we operate as a unified organization, with Alexandre Bonati, former CEO of Maeztra, leading Cadastra’s Commerce division. “We have combined expertise to deliver growth and efficiency-focused solutions for our clients’ businesses. This merger reinforces our position as one of the leading e-commerce players in the region,” says Thiago Bacchin, founder and CEO of Cadastra.

Growth driven by innovation
Currently, we serve over 220 active clients in 10 countries and manage around 10% of the stores using the VTEX platform in Brazil. According to Diego Rocha, Head of Commerce Sales, our goal for 2025 is ambitious: to double our e-commerce revenue, supported by technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Augmented Reality (AR) to create even more personalized and efficient experiences.
“An example of this commitment is the New Balance case, which, with Maeztra’s support, migrated to the VTEX platform and doubled its conversion rate. Now, with Cadastra’s expanded structure, we aim to replicate and scale this kind of success in new projects,” he states.

A history of strategic acquisitions
The merger with Maeztra is not Cadastra’s first strategic move to expand its operations and reinforce its market leadership. In 2023, we acquired Qexpert, M3, and Digital Ethos and have since continued integrating expertise and broadening our offering of complete and innovative solutions. These acquisitions are part of a clear and consistent vision of sustainable growth, aligned with our purpose of generating real value for our clients.
